2.       What is the story about?

The movie ‘Brave’ revolves around Merida , a boyish Scottish princess. On her birthday when she was still a  child,she was given a bow by her father,King Fergus which rises a concern to her mother,Queen Elinor. Since then both the mother and daughter are not on the same page.Whilst Queen Elinor insist on her daughter being a proper princess with all the manner and ettique,Merida enjoys archery and wandering off in the woods more.Along the way,the queen and king were blessed with a triplet,three very mischievous boys.All the contradiction however are in control until Queen Elinor break the news to Merida that she would have to choose a husband out of three candidates from the Kingdom’s allied clans. On the tournament day,another candidate come into the archery range. Suprisingly, it is Merida! She stated that as the firstborn descendent of Clan Dun Broch,she has the right to compete for own hand. Merida defies her mother and easily defeats the other candidates.They then had a very terrible fight which leads to Merida slashing her family tapestry and Queen Elinor scorching Merida’s bow in a nearby fireplace.Heartbroken with her mom action, Merda flee of the castle into the forest.There she met a witch,and asked for a spell to change her mom. After a bite of the pie, the queen changes into a big,black bear. They sneaks out of the castle and find witch’s cottage but no sign of the old woman.Nevertheless, the witch left a message,the spell will be permanent by the second sunrise unless she manages to mend the born torn by pride. During their little adventure, Merida had the best moment with her mother since she was a child.When her mother became a real bear for a while,they come to realize that the spell need to be reversed or the queen will remain a bear her whole life.Led back to the ruins of the old kingdom by will-o-wisp, Merida understood everything,the old  legend, Mordu and the message left by the witch.Realizing that she would have to mend the tapestry back,they head back to the castle. Merida faces the consequences of her action and actually solve the quarrel between the clan while her mother sneaks up into her chamber.However,the queen ran into the forest due to the chaos created by the King. Merida tried to keep up with the hunting party,sewing the tapestry while riding with her brothers handling the horse.Just in time before the King beheaded his own wife, Merida came in between and defends her mother.The suspense builds even higher when Mordu appears and got into a fight with the Queen. Merida quickly covers her mother with the tapestry but nothing changes. Disappointed with herself,she cries and apologize to her mother what she have done.She stated that she just want her mother back.Once the sunlight touches the queen,she return to her human form. Everyone rejoices and celebrates the triumphant day.Since that day onwards, the bond between Merida and her mother become stronger,as well as the bond between the allied clans.

1.       Do you like this movie? Why or why not?

-  For sure, as the story is loaded with lot of moral values that we can practice in our family
   insitution.

2.       What rating would you give for this movie.

- 4.5 over 5. The story line can be understood easily and the contents have nothing explicit.

3.       What spoilers would ruin this movie if you told your readers about it?

- The fact that the Mor'du (the bad bear) might be the one who was from the legend.

4.        All movies teach a lesson (theme or moral). What did you learn from this movie?

i.   Be brave to face the challenges.
= We can see this clearly on Merida who is bold to face the challenge in order to
   save her mother

ii.  Always be responsible for what we have done.
=  It is proven when Merida felt guilty after her mother transformed into a bear
    after ate the enchanted cake. She tried to save her mother mother.

iii. Have a positive thinking on what our family do to us.
= Merida thought that she was unable to grow like the mere girl because she was
   controlled by her mother. It was totally wrong actually because all her mother
   wanted was for her to be a proper princess for her sake.

2.       What is the story about?

The story begins when Zeus accused that Poseidon’s son (Percy) had stolen his powerful bolt. A war will be happened if the bolt was not returned in a few days. Therefore, a lot of enemies attacked Percy in order to find the bolt. Percy’s protectors (Grove and Mr. Brunner) told him that the bolt was lost and so everyone was looking for it. Hades had already kidnapped Percy’s mother because he thought that Percy had stolen the bolt. In order to save his mother, Percy and his friend, Annabeth, together with Grove went everywhere to look for pearls in order to save his mother. Pearls are needed for them to go to underworld where his mother was there. At the same time, Percy did not know that the bolt was inside his shield. At the underworld, he succeeded to fight over Hades and saved his mother and the bolt. Then, he went to Olympus to return the bolt to Zeus. He explained that it was not him who stole the bolt, but Luke. Therefore, no war was happened at last.

Teenagers that like to explore about adventures and mysteries.

After the movie

1.       Do you like this movie? Why or why not?

Yes, because it is much interesting that we cannot really expect about the ending of the movie. We can see that the main character, Percy who is only a young boy is so brave to fight over challenges with his partners and make his father proud.

We can predict that Luke is the lightning thief.
